Interview with Ophélie Leboucher - Diversity & Inclusion Leader

As part of the Get Involved Festival, ADEO is highlighting, for the 4th consecutive year, the initiatives from its companies around diversity, inclusion, and solidarity. This international event illustrates the collective commitment of the teams to building a more open and respectful environment.

Interview with Ophélie Leboucher – Diversity & Inclusion Leader, who looks back at the highlights of this edition and shares her vision for the future of diversity at ADEO.

What is the Get Involved Festival and what is its purpose within ADEO?

– The GET INVOLVED Festival is an internal and international event, launched 4 years ago, with a simple yet strong ambition: to highlight, list and celebrate all the initiatives around diversity, inclusion, and solidarity that emerge in all our companies and at every level: in stores, warehouses, and within internal services.

It is a way to value the commitment, time, and energy of those who, every day, take concrete action for professional gender equality, the inclusion of people with disabilities, the welcoming of refugee workers, the inclusion of LGBTQ+, and more.

The GET INVOLVED Festival is also a powerful source of inspiration and sharing for our 115,000 employees. We want to encourage the sharing of best practices, identify promising local actions to help them grow, encourage their duplication, and even transform them into global projects.

What highlights or initiatives particularly marked this edition?

– For this 4th edition, I am once again impressed by the number of projects received: 110!
These 110 new projects prove that the momentum continues to grow year after year.

Two elements particularly stood out to me: firstly, the quality and concrete impact of the projects, which illustrate a genuine commitment on the ground and actions that truly transform things; and secondly, the participation of new Business Units and new countries for the first time, proving that the Festival continues to unite and inspire more broadly within ADEO.

The enthusiasm was also palpable: over 1,200 internal votes to elect the 4 winning projects, and, a big novelty this year, the external highlighting of the 12 finalist projects.

Finally, another highlight of this edition was the presentation of the awards directly to the company HR Directors by our ADEO HR Director. A gesture that is both symbolic and encouraging, showing how much these topics are supported and valued within the company.

How do you imagine the evolution of diversity and inclusion in the coming years?

– We are moving forward with a lot of humility and pragmatism; the road ahead is still long!
But one thing is certain: diversity and inclusion are key and strategic topics for ADEO. They reflect both who we are, who we serve, and who we work with every day. It’s a matter of consistency!

Our ambition is to strengthen our impact, so that every employee feels they belong, are useful, and are recognized. We want to continue building an environment where everyone can contribute fully, with respect and trust.

And this approach goes far beyond our teams: we want it to also be reflected in the experience we offer our customers. By making our products, services, and stores more accessible, inclusive, and adapted to everyone.
