Adeo is pleased to announce that our founder Cindy Ross-Pedersen has been asked to participate in KMWorld & Intranets 2005.

This year’s conference theme, Applying Strategies, Practices, & Tools for Organizational Success, emphasizes that knowledge management is neither theory nor dream, but at work today.

At the conference Cindy will be hosting a 3 hour Web Writers' Workshop titled:

Is your content fat? Use our content diet to create a thinner online experience.

Description:

The goal of an intranet is to inform and empower yet, many are filled with fat content that no one is reading. The solution is to create effective, streamlined content delivered in an approachable style.

During this workshop participants will learn:

• How to explain to others that writing for an online medium is different
• Current best practices for online writing
• How to think in a user-centric way when selecting and adapting content
• Components of the web writing style including tone, formats and sizes
• How to adapt web writing techniques to email
• How to best prepare content for a content management tool
• Testing techniques to prove that your revised content works
