As an industrial manufacturer with a head office
in Toronto and mills across North America the
need for communication between all their locations
was critical.
Timely exchange of company news, production results,
and employee information had outgrown traditional
communication methods.
Beyond head office to mill, Norbord needed to
establish strong mill-to-mill communications.
Sharing of best practices and health and safety
information between the mills would provide a
valuable immediate benefit.
The vision was a personalized gathering spot
where all staff, from home or work, had access
to the intranet. But in order to build this intranet
they needed a tool that allowed non-technical
staff at the mills to publish information in English
and French.
